Dr Marius Coetzee

Dr Marius Coetzee obtained his Master’s Degree in Chiropractic at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He is affiliated with multiple organizations, including The Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport , Chirosport, as well as the Dubai Health Authority. Dr Marius is an active member of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa and Dubai.

During his studies he was involved as medical assistant to the Golden Lions Rugby Union junior teams as well as several other sport clubs and was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour society – an international NGO which recognizes academic excellence – upon completion of this study, limited to the top 15% of degree students from all disciplines.

Dr Marius has always had an interest in sport performance and sport related injuries, and therefor focused his Master’s Thesis research on improving sports performance in athletes using Chiropractic, which was acknowledged by the professional sporting community.

After his clinical and internship years, Dr Marius was invited to form part of the Griquas Rugby medical team, while also serving as medical advisor and medical trainer for the Griquas Cricket team. It was during this time that Dr Marius Completed his International Sports Accreditation, also known as FICS qualification.

After this, Dr Marius decided to start and manage his own Chiropractic practice,where he gained exposure in the management of occupational health conditions, and also completed an additional Chiropractic Paediatric course, giving him the knowledge and ability to treat babies.

During this time he was involved as on-field Doctor to several sport clubs as well as the local schools during sporting events.

Dr Marius Coetzee has extensive qualifications and certification in specialist fields that include techniques such as Rigid and Kinesiology taping techniques, Dry Needling, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab, Paediatric management,sports bracing systems and custom foot balance orthotics.

“I decided to move to Dubai to further grow and develop myself in the sports- medical field, and to also provide a specialist service to both professional athletes, as well as the weekend warriors and business sector.”
